We both crave the sun,
you and I, Lightbringer.
A reflection in still water is a
three-fold truth about the
limitations of the
human mind.
We look and don't see.
We see and don't know.
We know and don't care.
An inward spiraling trap
trapped in a glass case, a
display of indifference for a
whole universe of indifferent
observers, you among them,
Lightbringer.
We both crave the sun, that
inexhaustible lamp that
burns away all trivial
things and the
duplicity
of flesh.
The reversal of truth is only
another truth, unrevealed.
We remain anchored in the
shadows that define the
limitations of the light.
A reflection bears
only the name
of its master,
after all.
There is no liberation save death.
And yet, we both crave the sun,
do we not, Lightbringer?
